Job summary

Glencore's Collinsville Open Cut in North Queensland is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to drive mid-term plans, develop safe stage plans and contribute to monthly scheduling.

You will engage with multiple stakeholders, apply Maptek Vulcan and SPRY skills, and support EOM reporting, alignment with business objectives, and continuous improvement; a compressed nine-day fortnight and educational support are on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Experience in open cut coal mine planning.
• Proficient in mine planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimisation of mid-term plans.
• Develop safe and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan (Similar software experience is valued).
• Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY. Opportunity to grow and develop SPRY skills.
• EOM reporting and reconciliation.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer we are recruiting for an experienced Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to join Technical Services team.

With a long life of mine, there are numerous opportunities for a medium-term engineer to deliver significant value, gain exposure to the diverse challenges/opportunities, work closely with multiple stakeholders and fast-track one’s own skill development.

In this role, you will:
