Glencore's Collinsville Open Cut in North Queensland seeks a Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to drive mid-term plan development and ensure safe, efficient scheduling. You will work under the Senior Mining Engineer within Technical Services to optimise plans and align with business goals.

Ideal candidates have open cut coal mine planning experience, proficiency with Maptek Vulcan and SPRY, and strong analytical, communication and leadership skills to mentor others and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Experience in open cut coal mine planning.
• Proficient in mine planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimisation of mid-term plans.
• Develop safe and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan.
• Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY.
• EOM reporting and reconciliation.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer we are recruiting for an experienced Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to join Technical Services team.

With a long life of mine, there are numerous opportunities for a medium-term engineer to deliver significant value, gain exposure to the diverse challenges/opportunities, work closely with multiple stakeholders and fast-track one's own skill development.

In this role, you will:

• Drive the development and optimisation of mid-term plans.
• Develop safe and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan (Similar software experience is valued)
• Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY. Opportunity to grow and develop SPRY skills
• EOM reporting and reconciliation
• Ensure alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency and resource maximisation

About You:
