Job summary

Collinsville Open Cut is part of Glencore, located in North Queensland. A permanent full-time position with a 7/7 day-night roster awaits suitably qualified fitters and auto-electricians to join a seasoned maintenance team.

Located about 160 km from Airlie Beach, the mine offers camp accommodation, meals, and ongoing training within a community-focused operation that values safety and practical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualifications for Plant Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or Heavy Mobile Equipment Auto Electrician.
• Experience with Caterpillar and Komatsu large mining machinery preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; safety-focused work practices.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Maintenance Supervisor and join a team of fitters and auto-electricians.
• Operate and maintain Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders while following risk management procedures.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking multiple experienced and competent fitters and auto-electricians to join our dynamic team.

About You:

• Relevant trade qualifications – Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitters and Heavy Mobile Equipment Auto Electricians.
• Knowledge and experience on Caterpillar and Komatsu large mining machinery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.
• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
