Job summary

Atlas People is seeking a skilled Bulk Cooking Chef for mine site work in Australia. You will cook for crews, maintain high-quality a la carte dining, and work within a tight-knit team on rosters. Trade-qualified with 3+ years’ experience and the ability to produce consistent results are essential.

Prospective staff must have full working rights in Australia and be willing to obtain a National Police Check. Transport, accommodation, meals on shift and hourly pay are provided by Atlas.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified chef with 3+ years of kitchen experience.
• Own traditional uniform and knives.
• Experience in quality a la carte dining and menu input.
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and have Australia-wide working rights.

Responsibilities

• Cook for bulk site teams in a mine-site kitchen, producing quality meals.
• Maintain high standards for a la carte dining and consistency.
• Assist with menu planning and suggestions to improve offerings.
• Rotations and shifts with 2:1 or 3:1 rosters; breakfast/crib and dinner.
• Work in a small team of 3–6 people and adhere to safety requirements.

About you

If you are trade qualified with three or more years’ experience, and:

• Possess a strong work ethic and have excellent communication skills
• Can produce consistent quality
• Have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude
• Own traditional uniform and knives
• Have experience in quality a la carte dining
• Have a keen eye with high attention to detail
• Would like to assist with menu planning and suggestions
