Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a qualified Plant Mechanic for the Mt Thorley service team. You will diagnose, repair and maintain Komatsu heavy equipment in workshop and on site, working as part of a team or independently to ensure high safety and quality standards.

You will conduct inspections, prepare condition reports and repair recommendations, and support rental fleet management and major maintenance projects. Travel to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Plant Mechanic with proven mine site experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair heavy mobile equipment both in workshop and in field.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair Komatsu and customer equipment in workshop and in the field.
• Service and maintain the machinery fleet and conduct machine inspections.
• Prepare condition reports and repair recommendations; issue timely Tech reports and admin requirements.
• Support rental fleet management, major maintenance projects and internal training.
