Job summary

Glencore's Hunter Valley Operations is seeking a confident Mining Supervisor to oversee task execution and ensure safe, high-quality delivery. The role offers development through mentoring by Superintendents and Managers, with exposure to a large pit and dynamic operations.

The ideal candidate will have Supervisory experience in mining, an Open Cut Examiner Certificate (Desirable), strong stakeholder management, and excellent safety leadership. On-site roster and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a mining environment.
• Ability to manage contractors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of work scopes and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operation through delivery of critical tasks ahead of and after mining, including Rehabilitation and Dam Management.
• Plan and supervise employees and contractors to ensure work scopes are completed safely and accurately.
• Provide visible leadership, advice and support to employees and contractors.
• Manage project plans and schedules with focus on cost tracking and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in development of compliance to standards, procedures and processes for Project Delivery.
