Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) is seeking a Mining Supervisor to oversee task execution and ensure safe, high-quality delivery. You will work with experienced supervisors, receive mentoring from superintendents and managers, and gain exposure to a large pit environment.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in mining, OCEXOC certification is desirable, and the ability to manage contractors and budgets while maintaining strong safety and communication standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Supervisory experience in a mining environment.
• Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency (Desirable).
• Ability to manage contractors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of work scopes and budget requirements.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across departments.
• High level leadership to drive performance with clear communication.
• Strong commitment to safety, risk management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of critical tasks ahead of and after mining, including Rehabilitation, Dam Management, civil construction and Water Management infrastructure.
• Plan and supervise employees and contractors to complete scopes safely and accurately.
• Provide visible leadership and support to employees and contractors.
• Manage project plans and schedules with focus on cost tracking and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in developing compliance to standards and processes for Project Delivery.
• Manage execution timelines and ensure works align with commitments.
