Job summary
Glencore Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) in NSW seeks a Senior Geologist to lead the Geology Team and provide site geological support to operations. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels and mentor junior geologists to drive performance.
The role is based on site with a Monday–Friday roster and offers clear pathways for career development. Ideal candidates will have a geology degree, 5+ years in mining, strong communication, and a strategic, analytical mindset to deliver actionable
Qualifications
- Formal qualifications in Geology or related field.
- 5+ years of mining operations experience with geological/geotechnical focus.
- Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement in geology processes and people.
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring to the Mine Geologist.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on short-term CHPP feed planning.
- Communicate effectively and take initiative to drive outcomes.
