Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our maintenance team at Middlemount Mine. This permanent role focuses on planning and coordinating maintenance for a large heavy mining fleet, ensuring safety and efficiency in line with operations.

The successful candidate will manage weekly schedules, work with CMMS/ERP processes, and collaborate with supervisors and trades to maximise equipment availability.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification or degree in mechanical engineering with mining experience.
• Previous maintenance planner experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance management systems.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for heavy mining equipment.
• Develop accurate weekly maintenance schedules aligned with operations and resources.
• Manage day-to-day and long-term maintenance planning to meet production targets.
• Ensure compliance with MacKellar CMMS/ERP work management processes.
• Monitor maintenance performance and ensure work completes within timeframes and budgets.
• Collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople and operations to maximise equipment availability.
