Job summary

MacKellar invites applications for a Maintenance Planner to optimise reliability and performance of a large mobile mining fleet. You will coordinate planning, scheduling, defect management and backlog control with the Planning & Reliability team.

You will own maintenance plans, track defects, and work with Supervisors, Trades and Operations to keep critical work on schedule. FIFO rosters and site facilities support a stable, long-term role.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance planning experience in heavy mining.
• Strong knowledge of ultra-class mining equipment.
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience with JDE or similar maintenance management systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Current Standard 11 or ability to obtain.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing short and long-term maintenance plans.
• Scheduling servicing, component replacements and shutdowns.
• Managing maintenance backlogs and prioritising critical work.
• Tracking equipment defects and coordinating corrective actions.
• Working closely with Supervisors, Trades and Operations.
• Escalating critical equipment issues and emerging risks.
• Maintaining accurate planning data and maintenance records in JDE.
• Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and fleet reliability.

MacKellar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team and help drive the reliability, availability and performance of a large mobile mining fleet.

Working closely with the Planning & Reliability team, you’ll take ownership of maintenance planning, scheduling, defect management and backlog control to ensure critical work is completed safely and efficiently.
