Job summary

MacKellar on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to coordinate planned and preventive maintenance across multiple sites. You'll ensure the right work is planned, resources are available and safety is kept at the forefront.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, this Monday–Friday role supports a large heavy mobile equipment fleet and offers career development opportunities with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Maintenance planning experience in mining, civil, heavy industry or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to schedule and coordinate tasks effectively.
• Experience using maintenance management systems such as JDE or SAP.
• Excellent communication with site-based teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed maintenance plans, schedules and work packs.
• Coordinating planned maintenance across multiple operations.
• Ensuring parts, labour, tools and resources are available when required.
• Working with site maintenance teams and Supply Chain.
• Monitoring upcoming maintenance needs and identifying issues.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance data and records in systems.
• Continuing to improve planning processes to support fleet availability.

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Sunshine Coast team. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity where you'll support maintenance activities across multiple sites and play a key role in keeping our heavy mobile equipment fleet available, reliable and productive.

The Opportunity

Working alongside site maintenance teams, you'll take ownership of the planning and coordination of scheduled and preventative maintenance activities.

You'll be responsible for making sure the right work is planned, the right resources are available and maintenance activities are ready to be executed safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Developing detailed maintenance plans, schedules and work packs
• Coordinating planned maintenance activities across multiple operations
• Ensuring parts, labour, tools and resources are available when required
• Working closely with site maintenance teams and Supply Chain
• Monitoring upcoming maintenance requirements and identifying potential issues
• Maintaining accurate maintenance data and records within our systems
• Continuously improving planning processes to support fleet availability and reliability

What You'll Bring

You'll be an organised and proactive maintenance professional who understands what it takes to plan work in a heavy equipment environment.

• A trade qualification in Mobile Plant, Diesel Fitting or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner role within mining, civil, heavy industry or a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance
• Experience working with JDE, SAP or similar maintenance management systems
• Strong scheduling, coordination and organisational skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with site-based maintenance teams and key stakeholders
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to maintenance planning
