A leading uranium production company is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a 12-month contract based at the Honeymoon mine in South Australia. This role involves comprehensive workplace safety support and training coordination to ensure compliance. The position offers FIFO arrangements from Adelaide or Port Augusta on an 8:6 roster. With a focus on fostering a positive safety culture, you'll contribute to the mining site's operations and systems development.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in a similar role on the owner side of mining or mineral processing.
Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
Experience in developing and conducting safety training and competency assessments.
Responsibilities
Assist with and facilitate incident investigations.
Prepare reports to meet internal and external requirements.
Maintain site registers including online safety reporting system Donesafe.
Skills
Experience in risk assessments and incident investigations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Education
Diploma in Work, Health, and Safety
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
