Job summary

Paisley Consulting is seeking a Microsoft Technical Lead – Pre-Sales & Solutions to lead technical pre-sales, solution architecture and customer consulting for Microsoft cloud and infrastructure opportunities. You will work closely with customers and commercial teams to uncover requirements and shape commercially viable solutions.

You will design across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and hybrid infrastructure, translate requirements into proposals, and guide delivery teams to successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven Microsoft pre-sales experience across customers, sales, architects and delivery.
• Experience in Microsoft pre-sales or solution consulting.
• Experience running customer discovery and requirements workshops.
• Experience in solution architecture and high-level design.
• Experience producing technical proposals and Statements of Work.
• Experience with project scoping and effort estimation.
• Ability to present and defend technical solutions.
• Broad Microsoft ecosystem: Azure, 365, Entra ID, AD, hybrid identity, Azure networking.
• Experience with IaC: PowerShell, Terraform, and Bicep.
• Experience designing cloud foundations and enterprise Azure environments.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders while keeping depth.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-sales conversations across Microsoft cloud and infrastructure opportunities.
• Run customer discovery sessions and technical workshops.
• Understand business drivers, environments, pain points and future-state requirements.
• Design solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and hybrid infrastructure.
• Translate customer requirements into technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
• Produce solution designs, scopes, Statements of Work and technical proposals.
• Estimate delivery effort and contribute to commercial solution development.
• Present proposed architectures and technical recommendations to customers.
• Work alongside sales and account teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and design assurance to consultants and engineers delivering the solution.
