Job summary

The Network is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect to lead the design of secure, scalable and well-governed cloud solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

You’ll assess existing designs, identify gaps and provide architectural direction aligned with Microsoft best practice, security standards and broader business requirements across both cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Azure Infrastructure or Cloud Solution Architect.
• Strong enterprise solution architecture and governance experience.
• Confidence presenting designs to architecture boards and senior technical stakeholders.
• Ability to identify weaknesses in existing designs and recommend practical improvements.
• Clear written communication and high-quality architecture documentation.

Responsibilities

• Designing Azure cloud infrastructure solutions using CAF and Well-Architected Framework.
• Developing high-level and detailed architecture across networking, identity, security, governance, monitoring and operations.
• Reviewing existing designs and challenging decisions using architectural principles.
• Producing architecture documentation including SADs, SDDs, HLDs and LLDs.
• Presenting designs through Design Review Forums and Architecture Boards.
• Collaborating with technical teams, security specialists, delivery leads and stakeholders.
• Ensuring solutions align with Safe and Secure by Design principles.
• Supporting transitions of approved designs through delivery.

Azure Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect

We're seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect to lead the design of secure, scalable and well-governed cloud solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

This role requires someone who can work across both cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture. You'll assess existing designs, identify gaps and provide clear architectural direction aligned with Microsoft best practice, security standards and broader business requirements.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Designing Azure cloud infrastructure solutions using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework
• Developing high-level and detailed architecture across networking, identity, security, governance, monitoring and operations
• Reviewing existing designs and constructively challenging decisions using sound architectural principles
• Completing requirements analysis, technical assessments and gap analysis
• Producing architecture documentation, including SADs, SDDs, HLDs and LLDs
• Presenting designs through Design Review Forums and Architecture Boards
• Working closely with technical teams, security specialists, delivery leads and senior stakeholders
• Ensuring solutions align with Safe and Secure by Design principles
• Supporting the transition of approved designs through delivery and implementation

Technical experience

You’ll bring strong experience across:

• Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework
• Azure networking, including hub-and-spoke topology, vWAN, ExpressRoute, DNS, Azure Firewall or network virtual appliances, and load balancers
• Identity and access management using Entra ID, RBAC, PIM and Conditional Access
• Azure security and compliance, including Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender, governance controls and alignment with ISO or NIST frameworks
• DevOps and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and Bicep
• Monitoring and operational design using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Microsoft Fabric or an equivalent enterprise data platform
