Job summary

Versent is seeking an experienced Microsoft Cloud & AI Presales Specialist to shape customer opportunities across Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure AI, Copilot, GitHub and CSP. This senior, client-facing role drives discovery, qualification and pre‑sales activities from early engagement to proposal, collaborating with customers, Microsoft, Telstra and Versent delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in consulting, presales solutioning, or technical sales.
• Strong customer engagement, discovery, workshop facilitation and structured communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience qualifying Microsoft opportunities and shaping solution direction.
• Clear articulation of technical and business value in proposals and RFPs.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft CSP products and partner programmes.
• Commercial awareness across scope, funding, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions to understand outcomes and buying criteria.
• Qualify opportunities and shape the right technical approach across Azure, AI, M365, Copilot, GitHub and CSP.
• Design and facilitate customer workshops including pre-migration assessments and Copilot accelerators.
• Lead demonstrations, proof-of-value activities and time-boxed PoC scoping.
• Develop clear solution narratives connecting requirements with Microsoft programmes and Versent delivery.
• Contribute to complex proposals, tenders and RFP responses.
• Provide solution assumptions, effort estimates and technical inputs with sales and delivery teams.
• Support co-sell opportunities with Microsoft and Telstra through mapping and guidance.
• Ensure smooth handovers from presales to delivery with clear documentation.
• Develop repeatable accelerators, workshop formats, and go-to-market assets.
