Job summary

ZEISS in Australia and New Zealand seeks a Product Application Sales Specialist for SEM and X-ray microscopy. You will drive growth, manage opportunities, and present solutions to engineering markets across ANZ.

The role requires broad microscopy knowledge, strong communication, and travel across ANZ. Based in Australia, Sydney or Melbourne is preferred, with potential relocation or regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Biomaterials or similar (BSc, MSc or PhD).
• Broad knowledge of engineering and materials science topics with microscopy expertise.
• Experience in Image Data Analysis.
• Sales experience with ability to close projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout ANZ and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Become a leading ZEISS RQS portfolio specialist for SEM and X-ray microscopy.
• Identify and understand ANZ market opportunities in the RQS segment.
• Assume direct sales responsibility for RQS within ANZ and engage customers.
• Meet annual order intake, revenue and profitability targets.
• Provide ongoing applications support for microscopy applications and workflows.
• Collaborate with ZEISS teams in Germany and APAC to develop pipelines.
• Qualify leads and manage opportunities in the CRM.
• Close sales opportunities across academic and industrial markets in ANZ.
