Job summary

Dave's Welding & Metal Fabrication Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will fabricate a wide range of custom architectural metalwork with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

We specialise in high-quality work across stainless steel, aluminium, brass and mild steel for residential and commercial projects, offering overtime and opportunities for skilled technicians to grow with a stable, hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant fabrication experience.
• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
• Strong TIG welding skills, particularly with stainless steel and aluminium.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of custom architectural metalwork
• High proficiency in TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel is essential
• Experience with metal preparation and processing
• Cutting, shaping, bending, drilling, joining, welding and grinding
• Confident use of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
• Reading and interpreting fabrication and shop drawings
• Accurately and safely completing assigned fabrication tasks
• Fabricating components within ±2 mm tolerance
• Performing quality checks on completed products
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• CNC machine operation experience is an advantage but not essential

About the Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication of a wide range of custom architectural metalwork, where accuracy, quality and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of custom architectural metalwork
