Job summary

Sheet Metal Solutions NSW, a 100% Australian-owned family business based in Riverstone, specialises in precision sheet-metal manufacturing including laser cutting, CNC bending, rolling and fabrication. We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Tradesman / Fabricator to join our growing team.

This hands-on workshop role involves MIG and TIG welding, fabrication of components and assemblies, interpreting technical drawings, saw cutting, drilling and finishing, working with mild steel, stainless

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet-metal fabrication and finishing.
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Familiar with laser-cut components, CNC bending and rolling.
• Able to work accurately, independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal.
• Fabrication of sheet-metal components and assemblies.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Saw cutting, drilling and tapping.
• Deburring and finishing work.
• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Assisting with bending, rolling and other sheet-metal processes as required.

About the Role

This is a hands-on workshop position suited to an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Your duties will include:

• MIG and TIG welding

• Fabrication of sheet-metal components and assemblies

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings

• Saw cutting

• Drilling and tapping

• Deburring and finishing

• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium

• Assisting with bending, rolling and other sheet-metal processes as required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in sheet-metal fabrication

• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Experienced with MIG and TIG welding

• Familiar with laser-cut components, CNC bending and rolling

• Able to work accurately and independently

• Reliable, punctual and motivated

• Quality focused with good attention to detail

• A good communicator and comfortable completing workshop paperwork

• Safety conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team

A forklift licence is highly regarded.
