Job summary

West Coast Sheet Metal in Forrestdale, WA is looking for a Metal Fabricator to join our operations team and help manufacture and assemble products for trade and retail customers. You will read technical drawings, MIG weld fabrications in mild steel and silicone bronze, and contribute to accurate, high-quality production.

This permanent, full-time role operates on a day shift from 6:00am to 2:06pm with overtime optional.

Qualifications

• Essential - Fabricating experience of mild steel, galvanized products in both light and heavy gauges
• Essential - At least 2 years relevant experience working in a production environment
• Essential – AQF Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)
• Commitment to producing quality products
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts and people
• Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace

Responsibilities

• Manufacture goods to the customers’ requirements
• Interpret technical product drawings, MIG fabricating using mild steel and silicone bronze.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Operate plant and mobile equipment, including overhead cranes.
• Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
• Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

THE OPPORTUNITY

Continued business growth has created an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Metal Fabricator to join the operations team to help manufacture and assemble products for our trade and retail customer base.

THIS is a permanent, full-time opportunity working Day Shift from 6:00am - 2:06pm with overtime optional.

Location: Forrestdale, WA

Annual Salary: $76,570 - $80,000 per annum based on relevant skills and qualifications
