Job summary

Stratco Group is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Gepps Cross fabrication team in South Australia. This full-time role focuses on high-quality MIG welding, reading workshop drawings, and producing precise components to spec, using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

You will work safely to support daily production targets in a busy manufacturing environment. A trade qualification in Welding or fabrication and strong MIG experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MIG welding on manufactured steel products and assemblies.
• Interpret workshop drawings and specifications to manufacture components to tolerances.
• Fabricate, assemble and finish products using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Operate welding, fabrication and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with laser operators, folders and production teams to meet targets.
• Maintain weld quality and consistency across high-volume runs.
• Keep workstation clean, organised and safe at all times.

Based in South Australia, we’re looking for an experienced Welder to join our growing fabrication team.

This is a full time, permanent position located in Gepps Cross, South Australia.

Based on experience, the hourly rate will be between $35-$42 p/hour.

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Welder that will:

• Perform high quality MIG welding on a variety of fabricated steel products and custom assemblies
• Interpret workshop drawings and specifications to accurately manufacture components to required tolerances
• Fabricate, assemble and finish products using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Operate welding, fabrication and finishing equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer requirements
• Work closely with laser operators, folders and production teams to achieve daily production targets
• Maintain weld quality and consistency across high volume manufacturing runs
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workplace at all times

We are looking for a trade qualified welder who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic and team first attitude. You’ll have:

• A trade qualification in Welding, fabrication or a related discipine
• Strong MIG welding experience
• The ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes
