Job summary

Indigeco Pty Ltd recruits a Business Development Executive for a national transport and logistics client. Based in Melbourne, this hunter role requires driving new business across intermodal services, using warm leads and proactive outreach to build a pipeline and secure meetings.

The successful candidate will generate meetings, close opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth, working closely with pricing and operations to deliver tailored logistics solutions within a growing intermodal

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, logistics, freight, shipping or related environment.
• Proven business development sales experience with hunting and closing new business.
• Strong understanding of Melbourne logistics/shipping market.
• Ability to generate meetings, build pipeline, convert opportunities and grow revenue.
• Experience collaborating with operations, pricing or service delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities in Melbourne.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM leads and referrals.
• Meet weekly/monthly sales targets including 12 face-to-face meetings per week.
• Sell logistics services across road, rail, warehousing and related solutions.
• Collaborate with pricing and operations to develop competitive solutions.
