Job summary

CSA Specialised Services (CSA), part of Waste Services Group (WSG), is seeking a Billing Officer based in Dandenong South. This full-time, office-based role runs 9:00am–5:00pm and pays $37.59 AUD per hour plus Super.

You will handle high-volume invoicing and work with Sales, Accounts Payable, Operations and Credit teams to ensure accurate billing. You should have strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), billing/AR experience, GST knowledge and strong numerical ability, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, accounts receivable or a similar finance-related role (must-have).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs (must-have).
• Understanding of billing principles, invoice calculations and GST (must-have).
• Strong numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail (must-have).
• Ability to analyse information, solve problems and make independent decisions (must-have).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders across levels (must-have).
• Strong organisation and time management skills with deadlines (must-have).
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support other accounts team activities (nice-to-have).
• Experience with accounts receivable systems, customer billing portals or project-based billing will be highly regarded (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and distribute high volumes of customer invoices accurately and within required timeframes.
• Review billing information, customer rates, quotes and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Use Excel to analyse data, check pricing and support billing activities (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Manage customer enquiries, investigate billing discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues promptly.
• Liaise with Sales, Accounts Payable, Operations and Credit teams for accurate billing outcomes.
• Monitor and respond to enquiries via the billing inbox.
• Maintain accurate, confidential billing records.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and other accounts tasks as required.
• Manage fluctuating workloads and meet month-end deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.
