Port GPs in Port Macquarie is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a dynamic team. The role involves greeting patients, answering calls, handling referrals and records, and supporting doctors and staff.

The position starts on a casual basis with potential move to part-time hours for the right candidate and an immediate start is preferred. The successful candidate will contribute to a welcoming, organised front desk and be part of a collaborative team in a modern clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Reception or similar role.
• Experience with Best Practice Software and Medicare billing.
• Understanding of the Medicare system.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Greeting patients and providing friendly, professional customer service
• Answering telephone calls and managing enquiries
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, referrals and records
• Provide support to doctors, nurses and other team members
• Prioritise workflows and time management effectively
• Process billings and payments including Medicare, DVA and Workcover
