Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical or general practice reception role (essential)
• Relevant administration or healthcare qualifications/certificates (desirable)
• Availability to work casual shifts Monday to Friday
• Confidence using appointment booking systems, point-of-sale systems and electronic patient records
• Experience with Best Practice software (highly regarded)
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, professional and patient-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients warmly and professionally
• Managing phone calls, appointments and enquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
• Coordinating bookings and maintaining accurate patient records
• Processing patient payments and claims
• Ensuring the reception area remains organised, welcoming and efficient
• Providing administrative support to our clinical team
• Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
