Greet patients and provide professional and welcoming customer service.
Answer and manage incoming telephone calls and enquiries.
Schedule, reschedule and manage patient appointments accurately.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
Process payments, Medicare claims and other billing requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.
Process referrals, correspondence, forms and medical documentation.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including electronic communications.
Liaise professionally with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and external providers.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
Assist with scanning, filing and uploading medical documentation.
Monitor and maintain reception and waiting areas to ensure they are clean and presentable.
Assist with general administrative duties and clinic operations as required.
Follow clinic policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
Provide support to the Practice Manager and clinical team as required.
Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
