Job summary

Lumus Imaging is opening a new Cannon Hill clinic and is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Medical Receptionist. The role involves welcoming patients, managing bookings and inquiries, data entry, and assisting with Medicare and billing tasks.

Training and support will be provided, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for part-time applicants. This position is ideal for applicants with customer service experience who enjoy working with people, have strong communication skills,

Qualifications

About the role

Lumus Imaging is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our newly opening Cannon Hill clinic. Working hours will be rostered between 7:45am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. We also welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time opportunities.

We are looking for someone with previous reception or customer service experience. Experience within medical imaging, radiology, or a healthcare environment will be highly regarded, however it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
As a Medical Receptionist you will play an essential role in the experience our patients have when they visit our clinic for medical imaging appointments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be providing reception services and acting as the first point of contact for patients and practitioners. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience working with people both face to face and over the phone as well as being able to navigate various technology and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing a professional and compassionate first impression
• Managing patient bookings, referrals, and enquiries (in person and via phone)
• Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records
• Processing Medicare, billing, and payment transactions
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic

About you

• Experience in a healthcare or medical reception/admin role is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• Confidence using computers and administrative systems
• A team-focused attitude with a genuine commitment to patient care
