We’re seeking General Practitioners with a special interest in Occupational Medicine to join a highly collaborative team, using clinical judgement to assess health suitability and help recruit the right people for the Australian Defence Force.
Home to the Department of Defence Headquarters, Airforce Headquarters and Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) which is a tri-service military academy. The Health Centre opened mid-2022 and is a large facility. It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles. Standard hours of operation are generally 0800-1600 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
