Job summary

Western Health Medical Imaging performs 280,000+ examinations each year, serving Victoria’s diverse communities. As our Medical Imaging Informatics & Change Analyst, you will support and maintain digital systems underpinning Medical Imaging and Cardiology, including RIS, PACS, CVIS and enterprise imaging platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Radiation Science, Health Informatics, Health Information Management or Clinical Science.
• Experience supporting Medical Imaging clinical applications (RIS, PACS) and understanding of clinical workflows.
• Experience with digital transformation projects, system upgrades or optimization in healthcare.
• Knowledge of HL7, DICOM and healthcare interoperability; ability to troubleshoot technical/workflow issues.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and communication skills across clinical, operational and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced application support for RIS, PACS, CVIS, enterprise imaging, VNA and image exchange platforms; act as escalation point for complex workflow and integration issues.
• Support planning and delivery of Medical Imaging and Cardiology digital transformation programs, including workflow redesign and stakeholder adoption.
• Coordinate minor projects, system implementations, upgrades and go-live activities, including requirements gathering, UAT and release planning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HL7, DICOM and API-based interfaces in collaboration with Digital Health, ICT teams and vendors.
• Deliver user training, prepare user guides and workflow documentation, and coach super users and departmental champions.
