We are seeking a friendly, reliable and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team three days per week.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy specialist medical environment, works well as part of a team and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care.
The position is for three days per week, with the opportunity to assist with additional shifts for sick leave and annual leave cover as required.
Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
Manage a busy phone line with excellent etiquette and efficiency
Schedule appointments and coordinate clinic bookings
Process patient check-outs, including private and Medicare billing and payments
Maintain accurate patient records and complete data entry
Ensure patient registration details, referrals and documentation are accurate and up to date
Liaise with Cardiologists, referring doctors and external providers
Assist with the distribution and management of cardiac investigation reports
Assist with general administrative duties to support daily clinic operations
Prepare consulting rooms and assist with opening and closing procedures
Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality
Work closely with the Practice Manager and wider administration team
Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Receptionist is essential
Experience within a specialist medical practice is highly regarded
Experience with Medicare and private patient billing
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional phone manner with the ability to manage high call volumes
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience with Xestro is highly regarded but not essential
