Job summary

VAE Group in Darwin is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician with hands-on HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration or mechanical services experience who enjoys fault finding, solving problems, looking after customers and taking pride in delivering quality work.

Interstate relocation may be considered. You will work across established commercial and government portfolios with strong communication and organisational skills; BMS experience is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration is required.
• Electrical trade certificate is a plus.
• Experience in HVAC service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on HVAC&R equipment.
• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and make recommendations.

The Opportunity

Join VAE as a Mechanical Service Technician. We’re looking for hands-on tradesmen and women with experience in HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration or mechanical services who enjoy fault finding, solving problems, looking after customers, and take pride in doing good work. Interstate relocation may be considered.

You will work across established commercial and government portfolios across Darwin. If you demonstrate solid experience in a similar role and demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills as a technician, we would love to hear from you.BMS experience is highly advantageous.

What you will be doing (includes, but is not limited to)

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on HVAC&R equipment
• Diagnosis and repairs to commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
• Provide great customer service to our clients through quality work and recommendations
• Maintain detailed job notes and provide progress updates to the team
• Collaborate with the broader team, from service admin to fellow technicians and apprentices
