Job summary

Guidera O'Connor is seeking Mechanical Engineers and Project Engineers to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure across Western Australia, taking solutions from design through construction, commissioning and handover. You will join an experienced project delivery team and take ownership of mechanical packages on diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in project delivery, construction or a related engineering environment.
• A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to project deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Water and wastewater experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical engineering packages from design through to installation, commissioning and handover.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure constructability and compliance.
• Coordinate the procurement of mechanical equipment, materials and specialist packages.
• Work directly with suppliers, subcontractors and construction teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Support the planning and delivery of mechanical installation works, including pumps, pipework, valves, treatment equipment and associated systems.
• Provide engineering support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Assist with project programming, cost control, forecasting and commercial management.
• Manage QA documentation, inspections, ITPs, technical queries and project close-out requirements.
