Job summary

Motion is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to manufacture, install and repair hydraulic hoses, fittings and components in both workshop and field settings. You will perform inspections, fault diagnosis and ensure high quality workmanship for automotive, industrial and off-highway equipment.

The role involves service and repairs, maintenance and overhaul of mobile and fixed plant equipment, with a four‑day work week (9.5‑hour shifts) and O/T at penalty rates.

Qualifications

• Qualified trade in a workshop environment with sound mechanical aptitude.
• Experience rebuilding and repairing hydraulic components, transmissions and undercarriage.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to work in field and workshop settings.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment across automotive, industrial and off-highway sectors.
• Maintenance and overhaul of mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Assemble and overhaul undercarriage and final drive components; perform inspections and fault diagnosis.
