Job summary

ARA Group's ISM Interiors division seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Australia. You will analyse drawings, develop 3D models with SolidWorks/AutoCAD/NX Design, and optimize machining methods including CNC programs for new components.

The role supports production with technical guidance and documentation. Location is Melbourne, in-person, full-time with a salary of around $80,000 plus super, and a collaborative, safety-focused work environment within a leading facilities services

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in mechanical engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Analyse engineering drawings and specs to determine manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and modify mechanical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and NX Design.
• Develop and test machining methods and CNC programs for new components.
• Determine tooling, sequences and process parameters based on materials and tolerances.
• Perform first-off testing and dimensional verification to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to production staff on machining methods and setup.
