Xpress Freight Management in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Yard Tug Driver to safely move trailers within the depot and position them for loading. This role starts at 2am and requires strong safety discipline and communication with staff, customers, and receivers.

Qualifications

• Experience with loading and unloading, COR, fatigue management etc.
• Prior experience operating yard tugs in a transport or logistics environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume transport environment is a must.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with local staff, customers and receivers.
• Operate a yard tug to move trailers within the depot safely.
• Position trailers for loading and unloading in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct routine pre-start inspections of yard equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain clear communication with allocators, operational staff, and drivers to coordinate trailer movements.
• Ensure proper organisation of trailers within the yard, optimizing space and workflow.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
• Support other yard and warehouse activities as needed.
• WHS and COR compliance.
• Ensuring exceptional levels of visibility and service are provided to our customers at all times.

Key qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with loading and unloading, COR, fatigue management etc
• Prior experience operating yard tugs in a transport or logistics environment.
• Experience in working within a fast paced, high volume transport environment is a must.
• You must hold a current MC Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence.
• All candidates will be subject to a Drug and Alcohol testing.
• All candidates will need to supply a current Police Check.
