Job summary

Border Express is seeking an experienced MC TUG Driver to join our Eastern Creek branch in a full time, permanent position. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected national carrier, driving modern equipment, working locally, and being part of a supportive team.

This position plays an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers.

Qualifications

• MC Licence with a minimum of 12 months experience driving MCs.
• Previous TUG experience.
• LF Forklift Licence desired but not essential.
• Excellent Driver History Report.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Willingness to complete a Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical.

Responsibilities

• TUG driving, moving trailers around the depot for loading and unloading.
• Moving trailers into parking bays and storage as required.
• Operating both single and double trailer combinations.
• Move and reversing trailers through the depot and into allocated bays & dock.
• Check load restraint, packaging and condition of freight before it travels.
• Report any damages or concerns to your supervisor.
• Ensure local yard equipment is positioned effectively.
• Adhere to laws and DG codes, fatigue management, road laws and council regulations.
• Undertake safe loading, unloading and movement of freight.

This position plays an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers. Role will involve driving the TUG in the yard and moving trailers in and out of the depot for loading and unloading, parking trailers in designated bays and moving into docks as required.

Pay rate:

$44.72/hr + super (includes afternoon shift loading)

Duties:

• TUG driving, moving trailers around the depot for loading and unloading.
• Moving trailers into parking bays and storage as required.
• Operating both single and double trailer combinations.
• Move and reversing trailers through the depot and into allocated bays & dock.
• Always check load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels.
• Perform visual inspections of each trailer's condition before moving and report any damages or concerns to your supervisor.
• Ensure that local yard equipment is positioned effectively in accordance with operational requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant laws and legislation including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulations.
• Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading and movement of freight in accordance with company & statutory guidelines.

Skills and Experience:
