Job summary

Transport Partners Pty Ltd in Underwood, Brisbane, QLD is seeking a reliable Yardie | All-Rounder to join our team. The role includes loading and unloading trailers and trucks, operating forklifts, and performing general yard maintenance and basic repairs.

This is a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades position with training provided for the right candidate. We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a positive attitude who can work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Loading and unloading trailers and trucks.
• Operating forklifts (3T–16T). Forklift license desirable but not required.
• General yard maintenance and tidying.
• Basic repairs and maintenance (e.g., lights, greasing, oil/fuel checks).
• Keeping the yard clean, safe and organised.
• Driving the company vehicle to collect goods as required.
• Willingness to assist with various tasks around the yard.

Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts of various sizes (3T–16T).
• Cleaning trucks, trailers, machinery and equipment.

• Assisting with odd jobs as needed.

Job description

Transport Partners Pty Ltd requires a reliable, hands-on Yardie | All-Rounder to join our team located in Underwood, Brisbane, QLD. This position may suit someone with zero transport industry experience, but who is willing to learn (training provided) through to someone who is experienced in loading/unloading and yard operations.

The role includes;

• Loading and unloading trailers and trucks (e.g. machinery, buildings, palletized freight)
• Operating various sized forklifts; 3T - 16T (forklift license desirable but not required)
• Cleaning trucks, trailers, machinery and equipment (hot wash and use of chemicals)
• General yard maintenance and tidying
• Basic repairs and maintenance (e.g. changing lights, greasing, checking oil and fuel levels)
• Keeping the yard clean, safe and organised
• Driving the company vehicle to collect goods as required
• Helping out with whatever odd jobs need doing

We're looking for someone who is;

• Enthusiastic, willing to learn and has a positive "give it a go" attitude
• Reliable, shows initiative and can work independently as well as collaboratively
• Physically fit and happy to do manual work

This is a 'jack of all trades' type role and we need someone who is happy getting their hands dirty and can do a variety of jobs around the yard. Training will be provided to the right candidate, with the right attitude and desire to be part of a long-term, successful team!

Work hours are between 6am and 6pm as required by our transport operations team. Pay rates are dependent on your qualifications, experience and performance.
