Job summary

Rheem Australia is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the end-to-end materials management function, ensuring uninterrupted supply for manufacturing operations. You will oversee purchasing, inventory control, planning, supplier relations, logistics and warehouse activities while driving cost efficiencies and continuous improvement.

You will manage a high-performing team, optimise working capital and partner with multiple sites to sustain service levels.

Qualifications

• Experienced supply chain leader with a strong background in materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Degree or evidence of formal education in related field.
• Proven ability to lead teams, build supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP/MRP system is essential.

The role

As the Materials Manager, you will lead the end-to-end materials management function, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials to support our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager NSW, you will oversee purchasing, inventory control, materials planning, supplier management, logistics, warehouse operations, and WIP materials activities.

Leading a team, you will drive inventory optimisation, supplier performance, cost efficiencies, and continuous improvement while ensuring materials are available at the right time, quality, and cost.

About you

You are an experienced supply chain leader with a strong background in materials management within a manufacturing environment. You have a proven ability to lead teams, build supplier relationships, optimise inventory, and drive continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in materials management, supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP/MRP system.
• Experience in inventory optimisation, supplier management, and production support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Highly regarded:

• Experience in appliance, HVAC, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to multi-site or regional supply chain operations.
