Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Sydney is seeking a seasoned Materials Manager to lead end-to-end materials management, including purchasing, inventory control and supplier performance, to support manufacturing operations.

You will drive inventory optimisation, supplier relationships, cost efficiencies and continuous improvement while ensuring materials are available at the right time, quality, and cost. Strong SAP S/4HANA knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• A degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in materials management, supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP/MRP system.
• Experience in inventory optimisation, supplier management, and production support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, supplier management, inventory control and materials planning activities.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to support manufacturing, customer service and spare parts operations.
• Manage warehouse, receiving and logistics operations to optimise material flow and inventory accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving performance, service and cost improvements.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Optimise inventory levels, working capital and supply chain costs while maintaining service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the effective use of SAP S/4HANA across the materials function.
