Heidelberg Materials Australia is hiring for a production and logistics role in Mackay/ Farleigh QLD. You will support allocation of raw materials, operate batching plant systems, and coordinate with production, maintenance and logistics to meet schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, batching or material handling.
• Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment with strong planning and attention to detail.
• Able to use computerised control systems and production software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive problem solver with strong organisational skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with minor troubleshooting.
• Experience in cement, concrete, quarrying or building materials preferred but not essential.
• Capable of independent work and positive team contribution.
• Willing to complete Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily allocation plans for raw materials to support production schedules.
• Operate batching plant control systems to measure and mix materials per specifications.
• Monitor and adjust batching parameters to ensure quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
• Conduct inventory checks of raw materials and finished products, reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain records of material consumption, production batches and stock movements.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and calibrations.
• Identify and report equipment faults and production bottlenecks.
• Contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
