Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an Allocator/Batcher in Mackay to support production scheduling and material batching. You will operate batching plant control systems, monitor parameters, and coordinate with production, maintenance and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, batching or material handling.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced operational environments requiring planning and detail.
• Comfort with computerized control systems and production software.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Proactive problem solver with good organisation.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with troubleshooting.
• Experience in cement, concrete, quarrying or building materials beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily allocation plans for raw materials to support production schedules and inventory.
• Operate batching plant control systems to measure and mix materials per specifications.
• Monitor and adjust batching parameters for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and logistics teams for efficient delivery.
• Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• Maintain records of material consumption, production batches and stock movements.
• Perform equipment inspections and calibrations.
• Identify faults, quality issues and bottlenecks and report them.
• Contribute to safety, efficiency and performance improvements.
• Adhere to safety policies and standards.
