Job summary

Alchin Long Group (ALG) is seeking a detail-oriented Master Data Administrator to maintain product, inventory, supplier and customer data across the ERP system. You will collaborate with Planning, Product Management, Procurement and Finance to ensure data accuracy and support business performance.

The role emphasizes data quality, problem solving and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to influence governance and data initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Master Data, ERP Admin, Supply Chain or similar
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Ability to investigate data issues and drive improvements
• Organised with good time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience in manufacturing and inventory planning

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update master data records in the ERP system
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and manufacturing data
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of product, supplier, customer and inventory data
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and system issues
• Support inventory planning and replenishment activities
• Analyse data and produce reports to support decision-making
• Manage data uploads, updates and system audits
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments
• Assist with new product introductions and lifecycle management
• Support system improvements and data governance initiatives
• Develop data governance standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with policies and best practices

About the Role

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Master Data Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and improving the accuracy of product, inventory, supplier, customer, and manufacturing data across our ERP system.

You will work closely with Product Management, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to ensure master data remains accurate, reliable, and aligned with business requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys problem-solving, and has a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update master data records within the ERP system
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and manufacturing data
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product, supplier, customer and inventory data
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and system issues
• Support inventory planning and replenishment activities
• Analyse data and produce reports to support business decision-making
• Manage data uploads, updates and system audits
• Work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments
• Assist with new product introductions and product lifecycle management
• Support system improvements and process optimisation initiatives
• Develop and maintain data governance standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with business policies and data management best practices

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years' experience in a Master Data, ERP Administration, Supply Chain, Inventory Control or similar role
• Strong experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Ability to investigate and resolve data-related issues
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of the business
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to inventory planning and supply chain processes
• SQL experience
• Experience with Power BI or reporting tools
• Qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
• Experience with C# programming or software development would be advantageous
