Job summary

Mayers Fine Foods is seeking a hands-on Data Steward to own and maintain master data across Customer, Inventory and Supplier modules within Pronto ERP. You will work with Operations, Finance, QA and Sales to ensure data accuracy, enabling reliable reporting and informed decision-making.

The role emphasizes governance, process documentation, and training others on best practices, with a focus on data quality and standardisation across the business in Australia and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP data management, ideally Pronto.
• Data governance and operational support experience is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and follow defined data standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Customer, Inventory, and Supplier master data within Pronto ERP.
• Partner with stakeholders to define data standards, requirements, and business rules.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and field definitions.
• Manage the master data lifecycle including creation, updates, validation, auditing, and retirement.
• Conduct regular data health checks and resolve data quality issues.
• Develop and embed standardised data request processes and SOPs.
• Act as subject matter expert and train others on data practices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve system efficiency.

Job description

This is a hands-on role with real impact. You'll work closely with Operations, Finance, QA and Sales to ensure customer, inventory, and supplier data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose — enabling better reporting, smoother operations, and confident decision-making. You'll take ownership of core business data within Pronto ERP, instrumental in enhancing operational effectiveness, delivering reliable insights, and helping the business make confident, data-led decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain Customer, Inventory, and Supplier master data within Pronto ERP
• Partner with key stakeholders to define data standards, requirements, and business rules
• Create and maintain clear data documentation, including data dictionaries and field definitions
• Manage the master data lifecycle, including creation, updates, validation, auditing, and retirement
• Conduct regular data health checks and resolve data quality issues
• Develop and embed standardised processes and SOPs for data requests and changes
• Act as the subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to ensure consistent data practices
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate validation, and improve system efficiency

About you

• Previous experience managing data in an ERP system (Pronto highly regarded)
• High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
• Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and following agreed standards and processesExperience in data governance, operations support or systems administration is beneficial
