Job summary

Uber in Sydney is seeking a Marketplace Operations Analyst to optimise the ANZ marketplace by analysing data, surfacing actionable insights and guiding interventions across Delivery Partners, merchants and cities.

You will own dashboards, monitor marketplace health and collaborate with Operations, Product, Data Science and Legal to align priorities while supporting new launches and fraud prevention initiatives. This role is hybrid in Sydney with a 12-month duration and a 9am–5pm workday.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations, data or business analysis, marketplace operations, or a related role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets to track performance and inform decisions.
• Advanced fluency in SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Ownership mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication to explain complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse marketplace performance using large datasets to surface trends, pain points and opportunities across delivery partners, merchants and cities.
• Surface marketplace operational insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Support design, implementation and tracking of interventions to improve marketplace performance.
• Improve delivery quality by deploying courier quality and fraud initiatives and monitoring outcomes.
• Own weekly and monthly marketplace reporting and city-level monitoring, ensuring dashboards are accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Data Science, Legal and other teams to align initiatives with priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and automate reporting.
