Carpentaria Marine Services Pty Ltd is a leading marine transport & logistics service provider operating across northern Australia for over 30 years with operations based in Cairns and Weipa. We specialise in nearshore piling works & jetty construction, rapid-response marine salvage operations, vessel charter, and project cargo delivery. We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Operations Manager to lead our fleet, marine infrastructure, and salvage response teams.

Position Overview

As the Marine Operations Manager, you will lead & oversee the execution of transport & logistical movement of project cargo, marine infrastructure construction, and salvage campaigns. You will manage marine assets, lead specialised crew, and ensure all operations are executed safely, on time, and within budget. This role splits time between strategic office planning and hands‑on site management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Plan & execute turnkey transport & logistic solutions, marine piling/jetty works (driven, and sheet piling) for coastal structures.

Salvage & Emergency Response: Plan &Lead emergency vessel recovery, wreck removal, and environmental hazard mitigation.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with HSSE standards, maritime regulations, and environmental protection protocols.

Team Leadership: Supervise marine crews, and subcontractors.

Commercial Oversight: Prepare Tenders/Quotations (specifically piling/jetty projects), Manage project budgets.
