TESS Search Partners has been engaged by Maritime Constructions to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of significant marine infrastructure projects across South Australia and nationally. Maritime Constructions is an established marine contractor with specialist capability across ports, harbours, jetties, wharves, breakwaters, dredging and associated infrastructure. Maritime Constructions delivers projects for a diverse client base including government, port authorities, local councils, defence, industrial and private sector organisations. With design, fabrication and construction capability in-house, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects in challenging marine environments. As Maritime Constructions continues to grow, this appointment will strengthen senior project leadership across the business and provide an experienced Project Manager with the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and the capability of the wider delivery team.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of complex construction projects, with accountability across commercial performance, planning, contracts, risk, resources and project execution. Working across both site and office environments, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate internal crews and specialist resources, manage subcontractors where required and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for an accomplished project delivery professional with strong experience managing complex construction projects from the contractor side. Experience within a self-performing contractor environment will be particularly valuable, with the ability to manage internal crews, resources and site delivery rather than operating primarily through subcontractors. You will be comfortable working within lean project teams, taking responsibility across multiple aspects of delivery and making sound decisions without relying on large support functions. Senior Project Managers with contractor-side experience in civil, infrastructure or other complex construction environments is essential, with Marine construction experience highly regarded. Strong commercial judgement, client communication and attention to detail will be important, together with the ability to mentor developing project professionals and remain adaptable as project and site priorities change.
