Job summary

University of Technology Sydney (UTS) invites applications for the Manager, Learning Design. Based at City Campus in Sydney with hybrid working, you will lead a small team of learning design professionals and shape teaching and learning products aligned with the university strategy.

You will bring deep knowledge of contemporary learning design, quality frameworks, and educational technologies, and oversee multiple projects to deliver engaging learning experiences across faculties.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of learning design professionals, creating positive team culture and aligning practice with Portfolio and University strategy.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary learning design principles and practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing and applying learning design quality frameworks, sector standards and quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in using educational technologies and tools to enhance teaching and learning, with understanding of Generative AI and data tools in teaching contexts.
• Experience managing multiple learning design projects with timely, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective relationships with Faculty stakeholders and align local priorities with institutional strategy.
• Lead and contribute to learning design projects across UTS.
• Manage a portfolio of teaching and learning products, balancing schedules, resources, quality and milestones.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of engaging learning experiences and resources.
• Lead and mentor a collaborative learning design team.
• Promote effective educational technology use and sound, inclusive learning design practices.
