Job summary

The Manager, Learning Design at UTS leads the strategic design and development of teaching and learning products aligned with UTS strategy, mentoring a small team of learning design professionals.

Based at City Campus with hybrid flexibility, the role builds strong relationships with Faculty, oversees projects, and promotes inclusive practices and educational technology in line with university priorities.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a learning design team with strategic alignment.
• Deep knowledge of contemporary learning design principles and practices.
• Experience implementing learning design quality frameworks and QA processes.
• Familiarity with educational technologies and AI in teaching and learning contexts.
• Experience managing multiple learning design projects with timely outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective relationships with Faculty stakeholders and align local priorities with institutional strategy.
• Lead and contribute to learning design projects across UTS.
• Manage a portfolio of teaching and learning products, balancing schedules, resources, quality and milestones.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of engaging learning experiences and resources.
• Lead and mentor a collaborative learning design team.
• Promote effective educational technology use and inclusive learning design practices.
