Job summary

Trade and Investment Queensland seeks a Manager, IT to lead secure ICT operations, infrastructure and modern workplace services across TIQ's network. You will provide technical leadership, manage priorities and suppliers, while ensuring compliant and business-aligned technology services.

You will lead teams, drive risk management, vendor governance and strategic IT roadmaps, with a focus on Zero Trust principles and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experienced ICT leader with service delivery and governance background.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, ITIL, ICT architecture and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage projects, suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICT operations, infrastructure, applications and support services.
• Manage incidents and service improvements within a Zero Trust framework.
• Provide strategic technical advice to senior management on tech risks and needs.
• Lead ICT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time and budget.
• Contribute to IT strategy, roadmaps and governance.
• Oversee end-user computing and modern workplace services (M365, Windows, Intune).
• Manage ICT risks, vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Oversee supplier performance, licensing and service delivery.
• Lead and mentor team members; foster high performance.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and partners.

About the opportunityAs the Manager, IT, you will lead the secure, reliable and effective delivery of ICT operations, infrastructure and modern workplace services across TIQ's domestic and international network. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will provide technical leadership, manage operational priorities and suppliers, and ensure technology services remain compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.The role combines operational leadership with planning, risk management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will lead technical resources, direct the work of the Senior Desktop Officer and work closely with business areas, government partners and service providers to deliver customer-focused technology outcomes.In this role, you will:Lead and improve ICT operations, infrastructure, systems, applications and support services within a regulated and Zero Trust environmentManage service performance and operational priorities, including incidents, technical issues and service improvementsProvide strategic and technical advice to senior management on technology issues, risks and business requirementsLead ICT projects and minor works, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, time, budget and quality requirementsContribute to TIQ's IT strategy and lead technology roadmaps and operational plans to maintain fit-for-purpose services and minimise technical debtOversee end-user computing and modern workplace services, including Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune, mobile device management and endpoint securityManage ICT operational risks, control weaknesses, service issues and vulnerabilities, implementing mitigations and escalating material risks where requiredManage supplier performance, licensing and service delivery arrangements to support value for money, compliance and quality outcomesLead and support team members by setting priorities, fostering development, wellbeing and high performanceBuild trusted relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, vendors and service providers, translating technical information into business-focused adviceOur ideal candidateYou are an experienced ICT leader with a background in service delivery, infrastructure, modern workplace technologies and technology governance. You lead technical teams, manage competing priorities and provide practical advice to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
