Job summary

InterContinental Adelaide is seeking an In-room Dining Manager to lead the In-room Dining, minibar and amenity operations within the Food & Beverage Department. You will ensure quality service, guest satisfaction and brand standards while delivering memorable experiences.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, rostering, budget awareness, and staff development in a 5-Star hotel setting. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a Food & Beverage role with at least 1 year in leadership in a 5-Star hotel environment.
• A Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management is highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with guest satisfaction focus.
• Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and lead a dynamic team.
• Hospitality passion with hands-on approach and attention to detail.
• Impeccable presentation and professional demeanor.
• Flexible to night, weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

As In-room Dining (IRD) Manager, you’ll manage food and beverage operations of the In-room Dining, minibar and amenity functions of the Food & Beverage Department. Ensuring quality service and standards are maintained while delivering memorable and personalised guest experiences.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining service excellence, resolving concerns, and upholding IHG brand standards.
• Manage operational performance, including cleanliness, inventory, equipment, payroll, and continuous process improvements.
• Drive business results through budget control, upselling, revenue generation, marketing initiatives, and special events.
• Monitor and manage staffing levels, rostering, and resource allocation to meet operational demands effectively.
• Uphold all OH&S regulations and ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and guests alike.
• Attend and lead pre-event briefings, department meetings, and team training sessions.
• Continuously seek guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the banquet experience.

What We Need From You

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Food & Beverage role with experience of at least 1 year in Leadershipship, in a 5-Star hotel environment preferred.
• A Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management will be highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and team development.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, with a hands-on approach and keen eye for detail.
• Impeccable personal presentation and a warm, professional demeanor.
• Barista Training Highly regarded
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (SA) + Food Safety Certification
• Flexibility– night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
