Job summary

Wallaby Hotel in Mudgeeraba, part of Australian Venue Co., invites applications for an Assistant Venue Manager and Duty Manager to join our busy pub team. The role offers leadership opportunities across a vibrant venue with bistro, gaming, live entertainment and accommodation.

We value hospitality, people and great service, with a path from Duty Manager to AVM and beyond. Salary ranges and a yearly AVM bonus reflect the role and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Duty Manager or hospitality leader in busy venues.
• Current RSA and RSG, with RMLV or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to manage operations with a hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Assist Venue Manager with daily operations and staff supervision.
• Ensure high standards of service, safety, and compliance.
• Lead by example during busy periods and rostering.

What we're looking for

• Some experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or hospitality leader
• A current RSA and RSG, with RMLV or willingness to obtain it if required
• Experience in a busy hospitality environment - pubs, bars, restaurants, gaming or similar
• A good understanding of operational standards, compliance and WHS
• A hands-on leadership style and someone who enjoys working alongside their team
• Someone who can stay organised and solutions-focused when things get busy
• Flexibility to work a rotating hospitality roster, including nights and weekends
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for hospitality, people and great service
